Project Manager/Video Editor
About the Role
Rapt Productions is a woman-owned and woman-run video production company specializing in capturing dance and performance with artistry, nuance, and care. In addition to our work with the dance community, we also create documentaries and creative media content for organizations. We’re seeking a Project Manager / Video Editor to join our team. This is an opportunity to work in the arts sector, supporting the creation of meaningful, high-quality film and media projects.
The Project Manager / Video Editor will be the central hub of our production workflow, ensuring that projects move smoothly from intake to delivery. You’ll work closely with clients, videographers, and editors to maintain high standards of artistry and professionalism. You’ll also take on select editing projects yourself, contributing directly to the creative work.
This role is perfect for someone with energy, excitement, and commitment to both dance and film—someone who thrives in a collaborative arts environment and values precision, organization, and communication.
The goal for this role is to generate new leads and more work for the company which would eventually expand the hours.
We’re looking for someone who not only manages projects with excellence but also helps cultivate new opportunities. If you enjoy connecting with artists and organizations and bringing in new projects, there’s potential to grow this role—with increased hours and compensation as our client base expands.

Coordinate project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and work is delivered at the highest quality.
Oversee and support part-time video editors and videographers, providing clear communication, feedback, and accountability.
Conduct quality control reviews of video deliverables before client delivery.
Take on creative video editing projects, contributing your own artistry to Rapt’s body of work, including trailers/sizzle reels, social media & branded content, multi-camera performance edits, and more.
Track and organize project assets, schedules, and communication.
Identify and pursue new client opportunities or partnerships that align with Rapt’s mission and aesthetic.
Qualifications
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Experience in video production and post-production workflows.
Proficiency in Final Cut Pro X (required); familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects is a plus.
Knowledge of and investment in the dance or arts community (Bay Area experience a strong plus).
Leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a creative team.
Details
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week (flexible, some evenings/weekends may be required for performances).
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
Location: Hybrid; candidates should be based in the San Francisco Bay Area with the ability to attend in-person shoots and meetings as needed; bulk of the work can be conducted remotely.
